- With all the new LightWave users showing up now that the software is
- available for the PC I've been mulling over the possibility of a series of
- shareware mini-tutorials. I've considered doing a video but most of the
- material I'd be covering would be better suited to nice crisp RGB images
- rather than a fuzzy, hard to read video. A CD-ROM would be another option,
- but I'd end up waiting till I had 50 or 60 megs of stuff to make it a
- decent value, which means that the CD's wouldn't come out that often. I
- suppose I could just mail out floppies to customers, but if I'm going to
- get into waiting for cheques to clear and shipping disks I may as well just
- go with CD's.
-
- I've been reading the LightWave List for a couple of years and getting LW
- Pro since issue 1 and the tutorials would cover stuff that I haven't seen
- anywhere else. The asking price would be around $15 US.
-
- Am I being foolish to expect people who have just dropped $800 on a program
- to send me money if they can learn usefull tricks on how to use it? Is
- there any interest in this sort of thing or would everyone just download
- them and wait for someone else to send money. I don't expect to get rich
- off of this, but it would be nice to make enough to buy a plug-in or 2.

- If there's enough of a response the first one will be on using bones. (Yes,
- you can animate a humanoid character with them. It's quite simple if you
- understand a few things about how they work.) ;^)
-
- If you're interested, send e-mail to my address in the header of this
- message with the subject "tutorials" With a decent response the first one
- will be posted to tomahawk within a week.
